The otom8 consortium is a group of organizations working together to deliver a wide range of benefits which unmanned systems and associated automation offer to commercial enterprises and civil government.
otom8 can provide a range of technology commercialization services, such as: analyzing customer requirements, assessing the feasibility of unmanned systems solutions, demonstrating appropriate technologies, specifying and supplying prototype solutions, spiral development and production, delivery and lifetime support of objective unmanned systems solutions.
Not all otom8 members need be involved in any one project. As requirements are identified, individual corporate otom8 members decide their own level of participation and management role. The consortium is a democratic grouping, an adhocracy, of organizations dedicated to delivering unmanned systems solutions.
otom8 can also be viewed as a virtual centre of excellence for the considerable range of business issues and technologies involved in unmanned systems and certain aspects of advanced automation.
Where necessary, support and coordination services for the otom8 consortium are provided by a volunteer secretariat.
